I am a qualified translator with an MA in Translating (with distinction) from the University of Salford. My first degree was in International Business and Modern Languages and I have completed an Open University course in Working with our Environment: Technology for a Sustainable Future.

I have several years' experience working as an in-house translator for Shell, and Computec Media UK and am familiar with a wide range of business and commercial texts.
A number of my translations have been published online and in children's non-fiction books.

Go to the Schlauberger-Verlag site to see the children's books I have translated.

As a member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting I respect the ITI Code of Professional Conduct.

Creative writing
Writing as Ros Woolner, I have had poems and short stories published in a number of poetry journals, magazines and anthologies. My first poetry collection, On the Wing, was published by Offa's Press in 2018.
